A welcome companion at the Park

At Gentilly River Regional Park, we know that nature is even better when shared with your faithful companion. Whether it’s for a short walk, a hike, or a full season of camping or vacationing, pets are welcome in our outdoor spaces.

Simple rules for a positive experience

To ensure everyone’s comfort and safety, here are a few points to keep in mind:

  • Your pet must be kept on a leash at all times.

  • Bring water and snacks for him too, because outdoor exercise makes you thirsty!

  • Always pick up your trash and keep the area clean for future visitors.

  • In trail or activity areas, be considerate of other users (hikers, cyclists, families).

A place to live together

Whether it’s a leisurely stroll along the riverbank, a break at a rest area, or an exploration of wooded trails, your companion is welcome to share the adventure with you—while respecting the peace and safety of everyone else.

👉 Handy tip: if your pet isn’t used to long walks, start with shorter sessions and make sure they stay hydrated. Nature is best enjoyed together!
