A welcome companion at the Park
At Gentilly River Regional Park, we know that nature is even better when shared with your faithful companion. Whether it’s for a short walk, a hike, or a full season of camping or vacationing, pets are welcome in our outdoor spaces.
Simple rules for a positive experience
To ensure everyone’s comfort and safety, here are a few points to keep in mind:
Your pet must be kept on a leash at all times.
Bring water and snacks for him too, because outdoor exercise makes you thirsty!
Always pick up your trash and keep the area clean for future visitors.
In trail or activity areas, be considerate of other users (hikers, cyclists, families).
A place to live together
Whether it’s a leisurely stroll along the riverbank, a break at a rest area, or an exploration of wooded trails, your companion is welcome to share the adventure with you—while respecting the peace and safety of everyone else.
👉 Handy tip: if your pet isn’t used to long walks, start with shorter sessions and make sure they stay hydrated. Nature is best enjoyed together!
