Park history

Since 1992, we’ve been inviting you to take a break

Since 1992, the Gentilly River Regional Park has been bringing the outdoors to life in the heart of Centre-du-Québec. Located halfway between Montreal and Quebec City, our region offers a true playground for hiking, biking, camping, exploring… or simply taking the time to breathe.

Here, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails wind through a natural setting where everyone can find their own way to enjoy the great outdoors—whether you’re a beginner, an enthusiast, or simply curious to explore the park. Whether with family, friends, or on your own, people come here to get active, reconnect, and create memories that lift your spirits.

WALK. RIDE. BREATHE!

Three words that perfectly sum up the park experience.

Hike our trails, hop on your bike, explore the area, settle in for the night, or simply find a place to slow down. Here, you can enjoy the great outdoors at your own pace, any time of year.

A PARK TO EXPERIENCE

But the Park is much more than just kilometers of trails and facilities. It’s a living environment sustained by a community that believes in enjoyment, authenticity, and commitment. From visitors to employees, and including our partners and volunteers, everyone contributes to making the Park a vibrant, welcoming, and deeply human place.

EXTEND THE EXPERIENCE

And because a getaway can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days, there are various lodging options that let you slow down and fully enjoy the area. Camping, cabins, or ready-to-camp sites: choose your own way to unwind, get closer to nature, and experience the park at your own pace.

For over 30 years, this has been our way of inviting you to get out, unwind, and enjoy what really matters: the joy of being outdoors.
